CLAIM YOUR RIGHTS: Students
Students in the government school system have to abide by school rules, but they don't have to abandon their family, moral or religious values at the schoolhouse door.
Students can express their moral and religious views through clothing, buttons, graduation and other speeches, student clubs, and prayer gatherings.
According to the America Center for Law and Justice, "Public school students enjoy substantial rights to free speech, free press, assembly and religion. The First and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution of the United States, and the federal Equal Access Act confer important liberties on public school students that no school official may abridge unless the exercise of those rights materially and substantially interferes with school discipline."
Think like a victor, not a victim. Claim your rights as a public school student.
