Photo Album: Citizens protest county clerk's abuse of power
Woodland, CA -- Dozens of men, women and children stood up for marriage and good government on Valentine's Day as homosexual activists demanded and got "certificates of inequality" issued by homosexual-marriage advocate Freddie Oakley, the county clerk for Yolo County. After San Francisco in 2004, this was the worst California county's attack on marriage between a man and a woman yet.
Campaign for Children and Families commends these citizens for being a voice of truth to millions of people through TV, radio and newspaper coverage. Despite the biased media coverage, which tried to paint Oakley as a hero and the well-trained homosexual activists as victims, the pro-family citizens stood tall. In 2000, 61.4% of California voters passed Prop. 22, the law that Freddie Oakley despises. It states "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." The liberal California Supreme Court may overturn this law by 2008. Learn more here.
