Campaign for Children and Families' six-day 2005 "Keep Your Hands Off Marriage" statewide media tour concluded outside the San Diego County Administration Center on Saturday, Feb. 19. CCF's San Diego news conference attracted many supporters and reached TV viewers that evening.

Pro-Family Tour de Force: CCF's San Diego news conference on Feb. 19 was a wonderful tour de force for pro-family activism. More than 100 citizens who voted to keep marriage for a man and a woman braved the rain, holding CCF's large banners and individual signs, while some 50 homosexual activists protested on the sidewalk. The five TV news stations in attendance quickly learned there were more people in support of marriage than those against. |
| United for God, Family and California Voters: Standing together representing the Latino, white, black and Asian majorities who voted five years ago to protect marriage in California (Prop 22) are: (l-r) Latino family activist Danny Ramirez, CCF President Randy Thomasson, pastor and former San Diego deputy mayor George Stevens, and Asian community leader Spark Gau. |

Leading with Authority: Campaign for Children and Families President Randy Thomasson shows the media that AB 19 would actually delete "a man and a woman" from California's marriage law. CCF's posters and media packets contained authoritative analyses of the people's vote and California law, and challenged the weak assumptions of Democrat legislators pushing the bill. |
| Reaching TV Viewers: In attendance were four out of five English-language and one of two Spanish-language TV stations. CCF and the pro-family people of San Diego reached TV viewers throughout San Diego County. Meanwhile, San Diego's North County Times featured stories on Feb. 19 and Feb. 20 regarding CCF's Escondido news conference. |

Former Homosexual Defends Marriage: AIDS patient and former homosexual James Hartline of San Diego speaks passionately for natural marriage. Directing his words to the crowd of gay activists behind the TV cameras, Hartline said, "I once was on the other side, where the gays are standing. I was involved in the homosexual life for over thirty years. I now suffer the consequences of that destructive life, for I am now fighting AIDS. I stand in stark opposition to AB 19 and same-sex marriage. It is the most appalling hypocrisy that those involved in such destruction would attempt to force hard working citizens and families to sanction by law, their destruction, into marriages." |
| Black Voters for Marriage: Retired San Diego councilman and pastor George Stevens, who marched with Martin Luther King, Jr. and was once jailed for his civil-rights stand, speaks passionately for marriage. Stevens represented 63 percent of San Diego County voters and 62 percent of black voters statewide who voted for Proposition 22. |

 |
Ground Zero for Truth: With five TV news stations recording CCF's news conference, and some 50 homosexual activists on the sidewalk protesting behind them, an estimated one million San Diego TV viewers saw the stark difference between truth and lies. |
| Motivated Citizens: People who came from San Diego, Orange and Imperial counties proudly held pro-marriage signs at CCF's news conference. |

 |
The Voters are Angry: CCF Latino spokesman Danny Ramirez speaks in English and Spanish why he and Latinos are angry with Democrat politicians for attacking their vote for el matrimonio y la familia. |
| Touching People's Hearts: Campaign for Children and Families President Randy Thomasson tells Channel 5 viewers why marriage is a beautiful and natural institution only for a man and a woman. |
 |
 |
Winning the Debate: Former homosexual James Hartline and other pro-marriage citizens (right) attempt to reason with homosexual-marriage supporters (left). The biological difference between a man and a woman won the debate. |
| Marriage in Many Languages: A father and daughter hold up Spanish-language signs, sending the Democrat politicians a stong message that the vote of Latinos was, and will be for natural marriage. Indeed, 65 percent of Latino voters supported Proposition 22 in 2000. |
